Game tabbing out without notice

Hi,

I'm having a problem since a month now. This problem is that whenever I am racing in Pcars, the game just randomly tabs out for no reason (Not fysically alt+tabbing, hands are on the steering wheel as always).
Other detail is that whenever it happens, 15 secs after the first tab out it happens again. Then it doesn't occur anymore till i reboot the game.
I have tried to trigger the tab out by using all buttons on the wheel, nothing found yet. Also tried to run a focus program to see what might trigger me from tabbbing out. Focus program says explorer.exe, but thats just normal after a tab out.
I dont have this problem with any other games ( racing and non-racing ).

running on windows 7 ultimate

I have been thinking of upgrading to windows 10, but prefer not to because i would lose a lot of settings.

Are you running multiple monitors or in windowed borderless? I've had issues in the past with this when the game doesn't lock your cursor to the game's window. When you move too far to your other monitor the cursor falls outside of the game's window and "alt tabs" to whatever is on my second monitor. If this is the case you can try playing full screen or a free program like dual monitor tools. Not sure if this can happen with wheels but might be worth a shot.

I am running a single monitor setup and I play the game in fullscreen atm, have tried to run it windowed. But when I do, it also tabs me out, but its just not as bad to tab back in as fullscreen

Are you plugging anything into USB right before playing? (i.e. a cell phone) When I plug my phone in to charge it, it pops up an auto-start window, then about 15 seconds later another auto-start window (first one is asking for phone drivers to install, second is for the phone as a USB storage device).

Or, along the same lines, are you starting up another program at the same time as the game that might be taking preference away from the game after a set amount of time?

It can happen like 30 mins into a game, so don't think that it would be triggered by that. Also nothing is really popping up, it just minimizes to desktop

Could be Windows Aero? Change the Windows visual settings/properties. When video cards are under pressure, sometimes windows turns off aero automatically and causes an alt+tab like scenario.

When I tab out widows isnt disabling windows earo, but ill try to disable it in the next races

if you aren't already I recommend Razor Game Booster, it has a few options in there that might help with your problem

disabling aero didnt help.

One thing someon said in that thread is about a "logitech profiler" that would steal focus when the game would launch. Maybe try disabling or closing any other applications when you launch?
I can see how this would be aggravating as hell.

then thing is, it doesnt minimize on startup, its always when I am already in the game for more than15 minutes..
+ I dont have problems with alt tabbing or getting back in the game, only problem is that it does it by itself sometimes. Always twice in a row..
