I thought the entire thing was just nonsense. An announcement for the sake of announcing something that they've been 'thinking about' for 3 years.
Only thing that they brought up was something in terms of a vehicle based economy, something that World War II Online / Battleground Europe had in their game for like 15 years. I hope they take more stuff from them tbh.
Overall: when i read news from a game i play i expect to read NEWs. xD

Don't get THAT excited by it. it's gonna be at LEAST a year until they even REMOTELY put any effort in to it. And when it DOES finally come out, I'll be collection Social Security by then, it's going to end up being a REALLY long useless campaign with 30 players on each side where a lot of people can't even compete because Gaijen will screw up the match making as they have always done and FAR too many people who use cheats.
I think it would be pretty cool. I'm waiting patiently to see when they come out with ships. Tie all 3 into that battle mode.
So much salt in here. I think it's a cool idea, but it would have to be RB or Sim style.

Right now EC is only available for SB. The RB version hasn't been out for at least 3 or 4 months and when it was out it was not all that. No real objectives for bombers and attackers,
mindless furballing and relentless airfield camping. Not much different than what we already have in random battles. The SB version has been out for some time now and has replaced
random battles with mixed reviews. Die hard SB players seem to like it up to a point. MM is still an issue. No bomber cockpits is especially an issue in a mode that requires cockpit view and
so your stuck with virtual cockpit feeling like your flying Wonder Woman's plane. As usual, Gaijiin is trying to think too far ahead without fixing the things that have plagued this game since day one.
They have been promising bomber cockpits for 3 years now, where the fuck are they? We don't have them because they are too busy adding shiny new vehicles that are not thoroughly worked out.
mindless and irrelevant changes to the GUI that nobody complained about. In general, fixing things that weren't broken and breaking things that were working just fine. How about a few
shiny new bomber cockpits? How about an RB mode that is something more than a team death match? How about an AB mode with real objectives and stuff for bombers and attackers to accomplish
besides getting rekt? How about historical matchmaking? That one really works. In the last test of EC the historical MM was so much better than the BR based one.
Yeah, I would like to see WWll mode, but until they get their heads out of their asses and complete what they've already done, it's all just a pipe dream. This is a terrific game. The level of detail and
graphics are outstanding. All WT really needs is a little spit and polish on the content that they already have and then they can start moving forward to naval battles and WWll mode.
