A word in your ear .....
I have no desire to criticize anyone in AOD ...... as I said in an old thread, somewhere, joining AOD kept me playing WT because I was on the point of quitting for good.

However, there are a couple of things that I would like to point out that I think need to be improved upon.
- I appreciate that not everyone is flying when on Vent. I do it myself when I am bored at work and want some company and want to see who is on to have a chat with. However, it does get frustrating when the squad is on a mission and someone keeps butting in with social conversation and, therefore, distracting those who are in battle.
  
  Whilst it is great to have a laugh and a giggle about things non WT related ..... can it not be done whilst we are all in the hangar?
- Friendly fire. Can people please refrain from trying to 'tickle' squad mates. If I am flying a low tier plane, I can see the funny side of it. However, when it happens to a high tier plane, that I'm trying to grind, and it ends up crashing early in a battle ..... I tend to get a bit pissed off about it.
- If I have already engaged a plane, and it is on fire and going down, I don't need any 'help' from a squad mate. I know there are times when we need to gang up on a plane and that makes perfect sense. However, swooping down on a plane that I have all but killed does not. It is bad enough with blue guys doing it without green guys joining in as well.
This is NOT a rant. I still love flying with you guys. Maybe I'm just in a bit of a bad mood about other stuff.

I just thought it better to raise these points now before I start obsessing on them and stuff gets way out or proportion.

About the 2nd-This was discussed in Officers Meeting. It is just this simple. If seen "tickling' a fellow squad-mate. The Sr. Officer aboard/on will issue stern warnings with potentially harsh language. Following digressions will be met with a report to upper Rank Officers,to include but not limited to-reduction of rank,temp. ban, or outright ban. Make it simple. DONT.FRIGGIN.DO.IT. IF,and ONLY if a squad-mate asks to be "downed' so as not to give a kill to oppo's then it is fine. IN NO OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES IS IT OK.Repeat,IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. This will prevent further issues of this kind. All transgressions referred to upper's. That keeps it from happening. Furthermore. The "AOD Greeting' to new recruits is hereby retired. We have people whom have tried their hardest to achieve whatever level/rank they have. They don't find it funny to be "Welcomed' by paying silver lions to repair a plane downed for a "Lark" as it were.

Now,let us return to "Toe-of-Bo' theatre where in todays installment, Toe tries to land at an airfield,with His carrier hook down. Reports of cameo's by Daffy duck and Patrick Duffy are not confirmed..

Mate, it was not aimed anywhere near you.

To try and clarify ..... I have no issue with people chatting non WT related stuff if we are flying together. After all, that is a great part of the appeal of AOD to me. As well as the high veteran quota that AOD seems to enjoy. What I was talking about was people who are not squadded, and therefore not in a battle with us, chatting over the squad whilst we are going about our business.

That is what I would rather just hear/see happening in the hangar.

If that happens, just politely ask them to move channel. If it continues, then you can take it up with an officer.

I am hoping that it never need to come to that.

I raised the issue on the forum so that it would take the steam out of my head about it. I would much rather discuss it here, and let people see how I feel (in a rational manner), than blow up at AOD members over vent. Which is, unfortunately, what I did the other day.

To be fair, the hint was taken and they left, but I still feel bad about the way I exploded and that I really should have dealt with the issue better.

I'd hope clipping never happens. If I clip you it's gonna be with something bigger than 20mm and you ain't getting up from it. But to be fair I only play RB for planes and RB/SB for tanks. If I talk over you then I apologise, 100-400 ping can cause a few issues.

It's not about people talking in Vent.

It's about who are not flying talking in Vent. Can be quite distracting trying to tell squad mates what is going on when someone is talking about their favourite beer/tea/film/song/etc.
