I've had a couple people pm me saying AOD are fithly Yer-2 spammers today. Bad nim.

One round here and there is ok. more than that and I think yer spamming makes the clan look bad because it is a very cheap tactic that is griefing\trolling towards the rest of your team and all of the enemy. especially if your doing it in a squad which means the match ends in 90-180 seconds.
3-4 players in a squad running yer2s can end an arcade round in 2 minutes without breaking a sweat.
It is a viable tactic to win the match with leveling up planes and grinding credits. While it may be distasteful to do so, it is not greifing or trolling, again, strategic base bombing is a viable tactic. It is able to be beaten if their team focuses on dropping the bombers, which can be done with well placed shots in the middle of the map, so it isn't an exploit either, people just need to learn to play in arcade. They decreased the bomb load on the B-17 but did not touch the YER series. if the devs want to get rid of this tactic, they will simply decrease their loads.Quote:

I'm so tired of that stupid fucking argument. Anything that guarantees an end to a match in <5 minutes is a griefing tactic to me. Period. And since this clan is supposed to be an honor clan, I would think any tactic that could have the word "Distasteful" applied to it would be considering off limits. Because I'm sorry but I've had 4-5 other team mates climb with me to meet the yer rushers, and had so many yers flying at me that I couldn't shoot them all fast enough nor could though. I've Walked away with 4 yer kills and each of them with 2-3 and the match was still over in 4 minutes tops. Its one of the reasons I don't play Arcade more than once in a blue moon, besides all the frustrating kill steals.
In HB when you see a team full of bombers and they base rush. It doesn't bother me there, It takes a long time for them to get to the base plenty of time for us to intercept, and if they succeed, they really earned it and my hats off to them; but in Arcade when it literally can end the match in 2 minutes...whole different topic.
I don't think I would find it as frustrating if the bases were another 20K distance apart though as that would make it far harder to accomplish and thus make it less of a troll tactic and more of a skill one..
Arcade matches do not last for 30-40 minutes. Its a short term slug match. What I mean by learning to play arcade, is that is not a skill based play session. it is simple who has the bigger gun and better luck, in comparison to that of HB, or what ever it is called now. You can't expect an arcade match to last for more than 5-10 minutes, and even in the matches that do go that far, 1/2 of each team will drop out due to loss of planes. Also have we forgotten the difference game modes? You can't bomb out a base in domination to win. You play a game where the goal is to destroy the enemy base, ground targets or enemy planes, how can you say it is dishonorable to chose one option and not another?
And in regards to your 4-yer kills in a match, since when is going 4-0 a bad thing?
So we shall put an end to this here and now, Nim no more base bombing, and Blank, no more shooting at people! Every AOD member must now attach a lance onto their plane and joust their enemy out of the sky!
I don't know the arcade matches you play. But the ones I've been playing where no one base rushes in yer 2s, typically last 10-20 minutes for me. which for an arcade match the 15 minute mark is the sweet spot on ground missions I find.Quote:

Erk already does this. Only his lance is a bit phallic for my taste. Most don't notice, though, because he likes to come at the enemy from behind.Quote:

Just to set the record straight slightly since a lot of this quotes Nim as the bad guy, I will say from the last few days when I've been on a squad with Nim and he flies his Yer2's he does it with a certain amount of tactics and morals involved. If the enemy team has a stack of Yer 2's all hitting our base then it's a race to who can base bomb first, and because there is usually a squad with Nim, some in bombers, AOD will generally win.
If the enemy team do not have Yer2's hitting our base then Nim will not base bomb, and on MANY occasions I have seen him convince the entire team to do likewise and concentrate on other targets. There are other members of AOD who match after match I have seen jump in a Yer2 and go straight at the base and I do find that behavior reprehensible and it has/will give us a bad name if that's all we are seen to do.
Now can I please get back to whining about Nim shooting me down....
I can second/confirm what PAGAN said, about Nim's bombing. He doesn't shove a Yer down their throats. No sexual connotation intended.

So there are honorable and non-honorable ways to win Arcade games... interesting! We might have to come up with a list!
Kidding aside, I was looking for something else on the WT forums and found an entire thread on this subject with some really good ideas how the game devs can adjust the game.

BTW, it's many pages long and I looked through about half of them and there was no mention of AOD or Nimvlar! Maybe someone has the time to look through the entire thread just to be sure. :)
