Icon9 Looking for New Headset, need suggestions

Due to my current headset being subject to wear and tear, the wire has been exposed and is causing my left speaker to stop working due to it contacting other wires. I need a new headset. I would like to see your suggestions as to what I should get. This is the headset I currently have. I want something kind of like these, not too noise cancelling, but feels good on the ears. My price range is $50 - $80. And this is what I am thinking of getting, if I don't just get a replacement for my current one.

I snagged these a couple months ago after my old logitechs bit the dust finally (almost 8+years of use). http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Surro...gaming+headset

I definitely like them, they are my first set that cover my ears so it has been different for me, in honesty. Sound is great, i've had no complaints on the microphone (i've used it for Cortana voice search on the Win10 Preview without issue). It comes with a USB adapter or just regular audio plugins. I'm a logitech fanboy admittedly, but definitely good for the price. If you are in a bigger city with a Best Buy, they sell there for about the same price so you wouldn't have to wait on shipping necessarily.

I've found most of the logitechs to be more comfortable on the ears, and who waits for stuff with Amazon Prime? :)

Valid point on Prime, i use it often. He mentioned having sound issues due to the state of the old one, which is pretty much what happened to me at 10pm on a friday night. I had best buy a block away so i went and got it there :)

When looking at the headset you suggested, I was intrigued by the comparison chart for it. So I checked out the others, and decided that the G930 is what I really want. It's on sale for a reasonable price too. I love the G19s keyboard I have at the moment, and I know I'd love a high quality headset like that which matches my keyboard perfectly. And an added bonus is no wires, which always seems to be the first thing that goes wrong with my headsets since I move my head so much. Thanks for the initial suggestion dc.

Upon heading to check-out, I had the option to start a Amazon Prime trial, so that was nice. Free 2 day shipping :D

Let us know what you think. Aside from bluetooth for my phone, I've never been really big on the wireless idea for gaming sound.

Why go with the wireless headset? you will have to recharge it, its not continuous, and the same headset:Wired; USB, Not wireless is $64.99 versus $79.99 and you dont have to worry about charging it.

This is what i use. 7.1 Surround sound and I can wear them for about 5 hours before I need a break. I got them from http://www.microcenter.com/ but picked them up local. They were on sale for $20.00

I am a sound engineer IRL and give them a 7 out of 10 for clarity and depth of range. For a gaming headset thats a decent score. If you however are one of those people that think that beats headphones sound good you will think these are phenomenal.

The reason I went with the wireless one is because it will last longer, due to it not having wires. I move my head a LOT when I play games, and that puts a lot of wear on the headsets wires. Removing the wires will increase the lifetime of the headset. Also, I as thinking that I could wear them while I'm doing chores so I could listen to music. And even if it needs to be charged, I can still wear them while I play.

Now realize that you weren't talking about the headphones I purchased, but the ones I previously looked at.

Logitech wireless is what I use. These things are great and they are invincible! I should have broken this thing at least 3 times now, it's like a cat :) It costed like $50 at Target.
