Well i used to be in this clan years ago and the people were really loyal to the other members, they genuinely cared about helping others with the game, and they weren't completely focus on winning, more about fun.

i spent a great deal of time there but i was a member of the star wars battlefront 2 division, i believe i moved over to the warrock but it became too full of drama so i left

that was such an unfortunate thing to happen. with huck and cotton running it it slowly started turning to shit, then the recession from the clan into the gates of mordor, BBQ was a joke, everyone left to go there and it was terrible, there was no order or anything, i went along and hated it. Tyrant i gotta say, that division was a gold mine, the matches were in order, everyone did their part, people actually played the game, when huck and cotton ran it it just fell to pieces. I'm looking forward to playing this new game with you all, hopefully increase member count with the addition of this new division, can anyone tell me recruiting rules for this?

We have been telling people to join us in IRC and chat a bit, but then you are a former member...

Anyone else wanna field this one? If its a matter of just going through the normal recruiting process, I would have no problem with that.

i mean i still remember some of the basics but this game is different i've never recruited in an mmo. also a refresher would be nice
also, what's the new policy on vent info? used to be public, i'm assuming too many trolls called for only sending it in pm's?

Basic rule of being an AOD member is to play with honor and sportsmanship while in any server. Be the server AOD or non-AOD server. Also we abide to our own Code of Conduct...I hope you had heard of this back then, but then I have no clue as to how long ago you were in AOD...or when the Code came about lol.

In reference to TOR, we have not set up a for sure system to recruit as there is limited information on hand about it. For now we are using the TOR community forums to forward any recruits to our forums and IRC channel.

We have both a public Vent and private Vent channel with a division room dedicated to each AOD supported game. Private room channels are only accepted by members and the password can only be given out by a Sgt or higher. So for now you can join us in our public room, i will PM you the password.

As Drac mentioned our recruitment processes are not as usual because of the lack of information on the game (and more importantly, because we can't play it yet), so recruitment is based primarily off of extended activity on our TOR community forum and on our IRC.

Many of us leave IRC on 24/7 using third-party programs such as mIRC. That is my recommendation. We are still very early into TOR development and as such, things will be quite slow for a little while longer until the game picks up some more steam.

i was in AOD for a few years, til i was a Tr and i kinda stayed there for a while, i know about recruitment process for a few other games so this is just a little foreign to me is all. i'll be on the irc quite a bit over the break as i have no school, hopefully i'll see some of you there and on vent

Yea I try and keep my IRC running, but my fiance has a habit of turning off my computer at night or when I am not around. They also monitor my internet use at work...so I try not to run the java one too often.

There are a lot of members in AOD. You will find someone in that age range in other divisions. But yea, so far this division has pulled the younger older crowd of the 20ish year olds.

TOR won't even be out until late next year at the earliest, so we must judge applications through extended communications via IRC and our forum, assuming you aren't playing other games we hold divisions in. I would have to agree with Dante on this one. This is why we are talking so much in IRC. I myself haven't been in there because of the holidays, but we are using it to get people prepared for the game.

This is why I was recommending that anyone that really wants to be in AOD, should think about trying out membership in another game division we offer and then come to TOR when the game begins.
