My fellow AOD members, my friends. I will be leaving. I will be gone for 2 years and I will miss you all, you have been a great family.

I joined AOD when I was around 14 (Around 4 years ago) with a joint account (Meaning multiple people shared one AOD account). At the time I shared a WOT account with my father and two brothers, we only had one computer so it made sense to have one account so we could get higher tier faster. This joint account caused a lot of funny moments in the division as I'd be playing for a little then my dad or brothers would hop on and play and whoever I was playing with would be like "WTF just happened to your voice?" It was a lot of fun. My father and I would say things like "Changing literal drivers give us a sec." whenever we would trade, it would confuse people so much.

After about two years of that I got a job on the oil field so I would have money to build my own computer, so I decided I would make my own account. People got to know me as Samiam_Jr and not Samiam1 (My father). I hosted many events in WoT and recruited a many of people. But I left on a 3 month LOA before I could become Spec so my climbing of the ranks was held off for a little. After the three months I returned and hopped back into games headlong and now with my own computer I could play whatever games I wanted (It is a pretty beastly machine). I went out and got all the games AOD supported and played them all, I was still a full time member in WoT and was doing my best to host activities again and help those who needed help.

I quickly reached the rank of Spec, then LCpl, then Cpl! It was my dream to be a leader within AOD and it had come true, I was in charge of all the guys in AOD-A. DayZ SA came out around the time of my foot surgeries and it was my first real experience with a zombie MMO and I was hooked, not enough to join it full time though as I was committed to WoT. I did however recruit many, many, people for it and created several youtube videos of my RPing adventures on it. Around this point I was promoted to Sgt because not only was I recruiting and helping out my own division I was helping out other divisions as well! Sadly though, the DayZ Division started to die and the transition to Arma 3 occurred and I never really liked Arma 3. Later as the Arma Division was dying SOE (Now DBG) announced a new zombie MMO! I was excited, this new game looked and sounded amazing!

I quickly put up a division request for it and followed the news about the game nonstop. I would make this game an AOD division! I did my best to promote the game but sadly 2-6 weeks turned into months and the game was not released! it was finally released in January and at last I could create the division for it. I proceeded to take all the necessary steps to make it one. Marvin and I spent most of our time getting the division set up then playing the game, but after a week or two we finally had all the forums and Vent/TS set up, we had several officers, and a new game brimming with recruits. Sadly I still did not get to play the game much, I wanted to see the division succeed so I spent most of my time recruiting. In one month we went from 8 full time members to 60+ I have spent countless hours doing work for AOD in the WoT division, DayZ, and now H1Z1, and I would gladly spend those hours again. AOD is a great place, a place I can call home. I am filled with joy when I see AOD succeed. AOD is a wonderful clan and community.

But now my time here needs to be put on hold. I will be leaving on a two year LOA, I will have no contact with AOD (Or games in general) over this two year period. So for you people I will literal drop off the face of the earth.

I cannot tell you what I will be doing, except for that if I am not back in two years (Give or take a couple months) I most likely wont be coming back or will be physical unable of coming back...

You may still see my steam account in use and this is because My family will be using it (I'll probably change the name). My AOD account will also go into disuse over this time so please don't remove me.

I wish you luck my friends, you all have my best wishes. And keep on keeping on!

I'm never good with goodbyes

I hope to return in two years!
