I come in peace, seeking gold and slaves.
Boston, now known as The Commonwealth, effectively untouched by the Great War, is home to the Institute, where robots that look identical to humans are made. This is where every game has been leading up to, and I'm extremely excited. Outside of China and Canada, the Boston area is where every lore geek wants to go. The story has been hashed out to the point where you know everything from the vaults origins to what happened to the Pre-War government (Not spoiling it if you don't know them). Now we just need to find out who fired the first shots, why, and what happened to the involved parties (although mostly explained in the Broken Steel DLC for Fallout 3, there's still holes in the story). We know Canada was annexed by the US, but in the majority of contemporary media, Canada remains untouched by her assailants, maybe this is different in the Fallout universe. We've also seen what the Chinese were up to leading to the last days, erecting a monument on the Eastern coast of the US, deploying submarines to the West coast, but we don't know what happened to them, especially "over there". We came across some ghoulified Chinese Remnant soldiers in Fallout 3, but they're in the dark as much as we are in regards to Mainland China.
