I do love the F35 and hopefully we'll get some in the Uk, although i recently found out the US offered us Super Hornets for basically free. I cried a little

I really miss the F-14 I wish they would have just modernized it with f-22 R.A.M. but that would never happen. The A-10 needs a second generation with some R.A.M. just like the F-15 Stealth eagle that Boeing developed but I doubt that will ever happen. As long as tanks are still around the A-10 will have its place in the air.

I love the F-14. But it was one of the most expensive jets ever to operate.

My personal feelings is that American military superiority is declining due to the farking politicians and their damm corruption and lobby groups . America needs a good leader and government that can just take control and make decisions without interferences from the damm corrupt senators and congressmen.(Alot of them are backed by mutiple defence companies and lobby groups)

The F-35 is a joke. As for the Air Force, it has a good inventory that has been proven to work. However; with what the Air Force was trying to do (replace the A-10). That is a large pile of horse manure. There is not one air craft in the current arsenal that can provide the CAS that the A-10 does. That plane maybe old, but it can take a beating, and give it back. I would love to see a F-35 "low and slow" gun run, receive fire back, loose half a wing and part of its tail section. Then return to base. It will never be a reliable Air to Ground support aircraft for ground troops. As a prior grunt. I would rather have a F-15 provide CAS, than that POS.
