Game recommendations / What games have you played so far?
I want some game recommendations. Old or new, I don't mind. What games have you played or still playing?
What I have played so far:
Metro Last Light, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Dishonored, Metal Gear, Splinter Cell series, Battlefield series, Mirror's Edge, Spec Ops: The Line, Just Cause 2... Pretty sure I played more.
Preferably anything similar to the games I mentioned above but I don't mind trying different ones.
ANYTHING but The Sims, Minecraft, Skyrim, League etc.. No matter how much I try to play them, I just can't..

If I'm not back in 5....wait longer!
So you clearly like FPS games. Come play PlanetSide with us. Also in that thread, Payday is fun for a while. Team fortress 2 is entertaining. My old school favorite FPS is Day of Defeat and Day of Defeat Source. I feel like BioShock would be to much story line for you but that is one of the best series of all time IMO as well as Mass Effect.
If i listed all the games I have played it would be cumbersome reading. So I will spare you.

Call in a favor. Call in every favor you can. It might add up to a chance
Warframe is a great game. It has a lot of longevity due to it's constant updates. And a lot on the older side, my favorite game for the Gamecube, Phantasy Star Online Episodes I and II plus. Fantastic Rogue-like set in the future when "mankind" had to find a new planet to live on.

I agree with the Bioshock suggestion. You can even skip right to the third one and play that, it's super good on it's own.
What about games like Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas? Made by the same people who did Skyrim, but it's an FPS RPG set after a nuclear holocaust. Great games, lots of story and exploring.

Hmm, well;
(I noticed how you said not skyrim, but also have mirrors edge (not an fps really). But as you focus on fps's so shall I
The most played games of mine from the last month;
Arma 3; is a huge game if your pc can handle it, with a lot of mods & different modes, but you will really want a group of people to play with in it
PayDay 2; Play it from time to time, can get quite grindy though
Sir, Your Are Being Hunted - its just a bit different, with the new steam refund policy you can try it out (also think it might have a demo)
The Long Dark - Survival game in first person, no zombies or stuff just a very pissed off world
Rust - its rust
Games away from fps but are good & worth a look
Kerbal Space Program - send little green men in to space
FTL : Faster than Light - worth picking up if you see it cheap
GTA V - screw online mode too many hackers, the story is good though and you can mod it nicely
Prision Architect - Build & manage your own prision - still in alpha though
Divinity Original Sin - a good rpg
Path of Exile - a good old styled RPG
The Witcher 3 - the latest good rpg (1 & 2 are worth playing too)
Then as I like them space games are currently;
Elite Dangerous (out now & working towards being good)
Star Citizen - dont bother putting much money in to it but the various modules show what it would be like.
I would generally say try demo's of games where you can & just try lots of different types, I used to hate FPS's myself now I quite like them

Keep honking. I'm reloading
Borderlands 1 and 2 are some of my favorite games of all time. Not only is it a good FPS, it also has a decent story and lovable characters. It's a lot of fun, and the GOTY editions are relatively cheap.
