Default The time I've been having in WT the last couple weeks.

The past couple weeks I've been having a horrible time with War thunder. It seems as if I constantly get stomped, because of my teams not climbing, or consisting majorly of bombers.
It seems like it games always end with, me against two or more oponents, or me diying because I have been engaged by multiple oponents with no help from my team.

Its probably that P-51 and its standing in the american teams.

Try a lower tier or try a different nation.

Just what I was going to say. Switch up your plane from BnZ to a turn fighter or bomber or energy fighter. I was in the same muck while playing Americans so I switch it up to germans and the japaneses. It was like a whole new game!
Oh one thing that is helping me a lot though when I do play american is patiences and situation awareness. I plan my BnZ to exit in safer routes. I may get only 4 kills or 6 but I don't have to repair as much. Hope some of this randomness helps you out! Maybe we can team up and I will help with the extra enemies you are getting!

Yeah, I've been switching it up quite a bit. I just found this picture to be quite fitting. (Please do note this is RB haha). The only sucess that I've found is lowerteirs, and Germans.
This game is quite team oriented, so, you'll run into significant problems when your entire team, for example doesn't climb.

A totally agree with you. I myself am a big team player. It makes the make more fun if that makes sense. To know you are part of something bigger then just yourself.

I understand your frustration. Given the complexity of the problem, the Matchmaker does a reasonable job balancing teams. However, it's based on stats and it can't predict when any particular selected group will play for the objectives or just derp around. You may have had a particularly bad run of draws, but you need to learn to accept that sometimes you just draw a crap team. Occasionally if you draw derpers, giving positive direction over chat on what needs to be done some people actually start to play the objectives.

Playing in an AOD squad helps a lot. At least then you've got 2 or 3 other AOD members playing the objectives and communicating. So you know at least 1/3-1/4 of the players on the team are playing objectives. Most of the time at least a few others chip in and you'll be very successful regardless of what tier or country you are flying. However, even squading up can't prevent the occasional "flying with idiots" experience. Don't let it get you down, it's just part of the game.

    Focus on the fun.

    Pnut is right,
if you want team play fly with clan members, otherwise , have luck with flying all by your self with out any team play what so ever.

A lot of players dont seem to understand that this game is teamplay based.
Or they just dont give a damn about it.
I have had it that team mates shot me in the back just to get my kill,
but when I needed help, and i was screaming for it, because of the (at least) 4 reds on my tail,
NOBODY even tryed to help me. but as soon as I have some enemy smoking and/or burning they ALL over him trying to get my kill.

All you can do is , use the chat and the ingame lines like "cover me" and hope some body is smart or willing enought to help you.

If they help you say thx and tell them they did great so next time they will do it again AND ofcourse help them aswell.

if they did very good send them an invite to join AOD.

Something I found out is that FPS means everything in WT. I had to convert to old graphics card to even be able to kill.

This is true. Also if anyone says you need a low Ping to play effectively, don't believe them. My Ping never drops below 300 and usually sits at around 450, but I still consistently place highly in the rankings.

Pretty much what's been said already - try not fly alone. You don't need a wing-man with a 10:1 kill/death ratio, communication in itself will increase your chance of victory substantially.
And yes, American teams tend to be an issue. That is not to say there aren't any good USA pilots, but it does seem as if their average skill as a nation is the lowest. Nothing we can do about that, really.

I probably fly USA more than any other AOD pilot. Usually around 4.0 to 5.3. I fly arcade only, however the rules are the same.
1-Never,ever enter a turning fight. You usually have enough straight line speed to either run away,or dive away w/gentle avoidance maneuvers
2-If You're doing anything other than Low-level streak bombing w/p-47's or High alt bombing w/the B25/B17,etc,You're doing it wrong. That's what The US line does best.Bomb.Anything.Everything. All of it dies...in flames..and gigantic freedom delivery craters. This isn't to say that You can't turn/fighter engage, merely that they don't do well there and are usually "one and done' in these type engagements
3-As said, fly AOD squad. I also compile a list of people "Blueberries' who respond/act on squad/team orders "in game comm's'.I invite them to AOD,fly w/them in game, and we usually team up if not in a AOD squadron. This helps.

Honistly, I know how to fly American, or any of the other nation's planes properly. It's just that I often find my entire team dead once I've reached my altitude.

I had a long streak of really bad games in RB with USA from 3.7 to my first jet. I hated the game and hated my teams. My current record is 13 defeats in a row. Awful. Teams were ignorant and as someone said above they wouldn't help you but they would all happily go gank the one plane that's on fire. That was just before I joined AOD.

Sorry for not reading all the replies. I would suggest park those planes in the hangar for a week or so and join us for some ground forces for a bit. I find that helps me cure some frustration. Switch it up a bit.

I agree with Smack. I have to change it up, although I go from ground forces to flying. Too many ammo racks in one session, or one-shot entire crew kills, watch my team lemming to one side of the map and then complain they get rolled, and I'll just whip out my Spitfires and Tempests for a bit to end the session. Take a day or two to forget how much Gaijin pisses me off with the game, and then come back to roll on tanks again.

When flying or tanking random battles, you can't get frustrated by the level of stupidity with PUG groups. It just kills the blood pressure. And with school out for the summer, you're gonna get a ton of it with a nominally FtP game like WT. Never fails.
