You got enough watts to run. Is your main card running on a 8pin? most 960 require only one 8pin. And I would personally recommenced a 970 I love mine and can run any game ultra(using a i5 4670k OC @4.6ghz). The 900's are not power hungry. I could run my 970 on a 500w all depends on connectors. A 970 is little more but worth it in long run. Now a 970 most use a 8 pin with a 6 pin. Also if running a aspire I would in my opinion would do a complete new build.

I think the cards running of the mb no external power. Yeh was worried about the aspire. I only got the rig because it was refurbished and cost £390. If I built a new rig would I be able to salvage the 1tb harddrive, cd writer, cpu, and 12gb ram?

The GTX 960 pulls about 120 watts at full load. The cards will typically come with an 8 pin adapter. Make sure the card comes with the proper adapter for your power supply before purchasing ( A 6 pin will need an adapter like the one that comes with this card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-860-_-Product )
