Star Card respawn charge
It's not too big of a topic to discuss but I didn't want to hijack another thread so I figured I'd create a new one. I'd like to hear your opinions on this as it was one of the main things from the beta that bugged me - if you die with one of your star cards not fully charged you respawn with it still uncharged. Perhaps there's some type of balance reasoning behind this I'm missing but I think you should spawn with your cards fully charged each time. How do you guys feel about this?
I actually kind of appreciated the continuity between lives. At least I knew that I had a reasonable amount of time to react if I killed someone who was using a cycler, and they didn't just respawn and take me out moments after. This is similar to other games, (like WoW, which revolves around cooldown-based spells), regardless of whether or not you die, a cooldown is a cooldown.
It wasn't a huge deal for me. I would rather deal with the true life of the star card than the alternative.
I don't know if I would chalk it up to "being too lazy to add in code" though, it seems more likely that this behavior was intended, and not so much an "oops, someone didn't do a very good job of implementation"

I understand your point. I suppose it makes sense in a way, probably helps balance squad spawn like you were saying. It just felt weird for me to re-spawn and go to use my jetpack or other star cards and have nothing happen

Didn't bother me any. The cooldowns were quick anyhow. Also there might be some much more powerful cards with longer cooldowns upon full release and like guybrush said this could lead to people simply respawning to get the counter down
