For weeks now I've been tempted to spend some cash on new hardware.
Wheels, pedals and maybe triple monitors.
Filled up several online shopping carts but at checkout every time decided
to delete it all again :-) Forever in doubt is my middle name.
The question is, will some new hardware make me go any faster. I've read
that a good pedal set does but new pedals would also require a new wheel
as my current DFGT does not support other pedals I believe.
I can practice for hours before a race, think that I'm doing a good job
to then see Joolst, Homie or someone else go several seconds faster during qualifying.
And not 1 second, no, 4-5 seconds a lap /cry. Frustration comes, motivation to keep trying goes.
The thing is, if I don't need new hardware, I have no idea how to improve.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It is hard to "feel" the car with the DFGT pedals
as they have very little resistance. If I just rest my feet on the pedals they
already get pressed in like 50% so it is difficult to not lock up on cars without ABS etc..
Any advise is welcome.
