Default A Store in the states?

    Greetings,

So i haven't actually physically bought anything in a while I am looking for some place that was like Comp USA that doesn't exist or circuit city which also doesn't exist where they had a good tech supply you could go in and ask questions point out dimensions for example and they would be able to tell you what they had that worked.

If you're only looking for physical stores, depending on where you live there may be a tiger direct or microcenter in your area. If you are also considering using an online site, newegg.com is what I try to always use for my purchases.

Yea I've used newegg and Amazon for years. I really just wanted to be able to compare size of cards to make sure it will fit in the mini case haha.

Best Buy would be a good place to check.

Tigerdirect shutdown almost all of their retail locations. HHGregg seems to have replaced circuit city in my area

+1. BB is pretty much the only retail option where I live that sells video cards etc. It's more mainstream than CompUSA was unfortunately.

I'd be willing to say that most cards listed on Newegg will have physical dimensions listed

That's one of the things I like about Newegg: They have very detailed specifications.

Whats the difference between the Titan Z and Titan X? And is this the current best Titan ?

Taking some measurements looks like i can probably do up to a 11" card safety before it starts touching the psu wires. As long as the intake comes from the case side i should be good.

Titan X is more of a gaming card if I'm not mistaken

You could also check PC Parts Picker. You can browse by individual components. If you select a video card from the list on the bottom left of the detail screen there is an option to show compatible motherboards and cases. This may help identify which cards will fit in your case.

I have this website, it does an ok job but often it doesn't have the right parts or has new versions etc so I just go by base specs generally.

I'm going to put in my 2 cents.
I worked at Best Buy for over 3 1/2 years.

I worked very hard to make sure I was knowledgeable.
This is VERY uncommon at BBY's. The average sales person knows jack doodly shit about what you may ask.

Fry's Electronic's, if near you, is a WAY better option.

I avoid Best Buy like the PLAGUE now days. The quality of sales staff shifted from knowledge to sales skills.

Oh and, Titan X is a dual GPU card. Titan Z is not.

I'm sorry. Swap that. It's been a long night.

The Titan Z is a dual GPU. The Titan X is a single.
The Titan X is still showing the better results for most games though.

How they fubar'd the Z like they did it beyond me.
