Motherboard + m.2 SSD compatibility issues
Hey guys
If you have any help here I would really appreciate it.
I have an Asus H97M-E Motherboard. It has an m.2 10gb/s socket 3 in which an SSD drive can be installed.
Now I am really confused as to which SSD can fit in here.
So far what I think would be the Intel 530 Series 120GB M.2 42mm Solid State Drive (SSDSCIHW120A401)
So, if you can, can you please correct me if that SSD can fit, if it doesn't, can you suggest me one please?
I'm specifically looking for one to use in the m.2 socket though.

Can I have your Tots
Judging from what I can see, that SSD will fit just fine. Each motherboard has different sockets for different sized SSDs (Length) so it looks like it will fit with the screw hole furthest away from the socket it plugs in to.

"Oh great, here comes Captain Dipshit in a LAV" - Pyle986
Appears it supports 2260 and 2280 Size(d) M.2 SSD's, so most(Other than some of the newer, VERY LONG) M.2 SSD's should fit properly. That particular Intel 530 M.2. SSD will fit as its a 2280 Size

Im not convinced it will fit, the one he linked has a different connection to start with. If you are looking for a compatible one try this
