Default Using a Tablet as a monitor?

Hi, I'm just wondering, is it possible to use a tablet as a replacement for a computer monitor ( Temporary use ). Since it's only HDMI out, is there still a workaround? & if its a bad idea, then feel free to just say it. I have little knowledge on computers. Thank you in advance.

The only way I can think of doing that is Remote Desktop. And if you did that, the response time would be so bad you couldn't play any game that requires fast reaction time.

I don't even think it will work. I would not even try to though just because of overwriting issues.

Wot work unless your tablet has video input. Most don't.
