Default Help me Build/buy a PC for my dad!

Hey guys, my dad wants me to build him a PC or at least wants me to find him a decent PC.

Im making this post in hopes that the AOD community, can put their collective knowledge together and help me buy or build a PC for my old man.

This will be a budget PC of course, Im looking for anything in the 800 USD or less range.
The pc will mostly be used to play sport games like FIFA soccer, along with office use, web browser, and music/movies.

What he would like in the PC.
-The pc needs an SSD for sure, with minimal 150GB space.
-Wireless and bluetooth would be great.
-Good sized tower for future upgrades and add ons.

I've done some looking around and found this PC... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883220797 ...on newegg and would like your opinion on it as well as any recommendations or builds. Thanks for any input guys!

Hi, so I can put a build together. You mentioned he likes sports games ... does he play any demanding games? Are you looking for the best bang for your buck, or cheaper the better, but efficient?

Bang for the buck, something I can build on, something that can last.

Ask Grady and he'll write you a 5 point essay on his top recommendations and then proceed to read it aloud. He'll probably want to be your friend after that.

It's only $10 above your 800 USD budget (After Mail In Rebates), but it's up-gradable. (You can go all the way up to an Overclockable i5 or i7 if needed.) And it can play most any new games and non-intensive games really easily. And light browsing and office work will be fast and responsive.

Edit: If you wanted a Wireless setup, another $45 for one of the top of the line Wi-Fi PCI-E 1x Adaptors (It handles all Wi-Fi frequencies, and is Intel, which makes some of the best Wireless adaptors in the world) http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2myHkL would be the total build for that.

    I went a different route.

    AMD GPU

    Nvidia GPU

Here are the differences between mine and Kaos.

Kaos build leaves more room for future upgrades on more modern technology. My build sacrifies modern upgrades, for present day performance. My build is cheaper and will run faster.

As for the newegg build. It has some good components, however the GTX 760 is troubling. It is an OEM GTX 760, which means ASUS has downscaled its capability.

With my build you will need to purchase a USB Bluetooth/Wifi adapter or, grab a PCI-e card.

That link has TONS of available resources. It helped me build my dream computer on a nice budget. Specifically, part-picker as mentioned above, helped me.
