    Default from a8-5600k to i3

what i currently am using is a a8-5600k. its slow on division 720p on low runs 60fps. i could probably run it on 30fps medium if I wanted to, but would have to keep 720p. 1080p low really isnt playable, neither is 1600x

    what i want to buy:

    i3 6100

was wondering if I should buy the ddr4 with a z170 mobo, or save money and just get a ddr3 1600 mobo. difference is I can afford to buy the ddr 1600 mobo and the i3 6100 right away, where as Id have to wait to get the extra ddr4 ram and pro mobo (z170). what do you guys think is it really worth switching ddr4? or, should i wait?

food for thought, new amd processor a10-7870k (fm2+):

    Kavari Refresh APU Review

oh, and my mobo is an A55 not an A58 so I can run the kavari refresh unfortunately :(

I'd buy an older gen processor (i5) that supports your DDR3 if you are on that tight of a budget. Also, are you using discrete graphics or integrated?

Smart idea. As it stands right now, don't buy and AMD CPU's unless you're on a super budget. Intels processors simply crush them and will continue to do so until the Zen cpu. As for DDR4 vs DDr3, in gaming it makes no difference right now.

Eh, DDR4 is faster in raw speed, so you will see some increase in performance, just not as much as say a CPU or GPU upgrade.
