Default "Family Friendly" Arcade Room in TS?

I was wondering if we could consider changing one of the three Arcade Rooms into a "Family Friendly" environment... I know we don't all have the same values and belief systems, and for those of us who prefer a milder version of chat, maybe we should consider this. This room would still be available to all, we would just ask that members control their language and subject matter while in the room. I know from having chatted with other members that I am not alone in looking to chat in a more family friendly environment. And just so everyone knows, I'm not asking for anyone to change their personality just for me, as I'm not such a prude that I can't tolerate the occasional expletive, I just think we might be able to broaden the clan membership if we created TS areas that were more acceptable to a broader range of player types... Your thoughts?

    Ender,
Not a bad idea ,although I'm one that drops a few f- bombs, probably more than i drop out of a bomber...., but your right, there's a lot of people that may actually leave due to subject matter , so a rated g or even pg room is a good idea.

And I don't think we need to put a lot of effort into trying to enforce a "G" or "GP" rated room. We could just politely remind people if they get out of hand. I would like to think AOD members are mature enough to respect the desires of others, particularly if the room is labeled as "G" or "PG"...

You are correct we should all conduct ourselves in an appropriate manner as per the code of conduct. That said I remind all members to review the code of conduct here http://www.clanaod.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3327 and please note 1. 3. and 12.

If you must use colorfull Adjectives know who is in your chat room and know that they are not offended by such conversation. It is far better to ask permission then beg for forgivness.

We are all here to enjoy the game of WarThunder together so lest all do our best to not say or do somthing that will hinder someone else's enjoyment.

I like your idea EnderJr........ i would also like a TS room for just chatting and stuff. Also most of us play allot of other games AOD does not support would be nice to have a channel for that to.

i agree as well, this is how it used to be .. and it is personal courtesy as well as in the CoC , besides.. I personally don't care what is said in TS.. but i have 3 others in my household who hear every word that is said because I am on a speaker setup.. ;)

Nak there are a lot of rooms at the top of TS in the public lobby that AOD doesn't have divisions up there.. if you and some others want to play a game, it shouldn't be too difficult to get a room up there if you don't see one for the games u play

I can definitely sympathize with your concerns. I am more of a PG to R fellow myself. I will try my best to control myself, but I cannot promise that I will not blurt out an occasional expletive deletive in the heat of battle. I do not mean to offend. I definitely take all concerns into account on bahalf of the clan. Permission to speak freely- It becomes more and more difficult to not offend these days. Gaming, for me, is an outlet and a time I personally "decompress" for lack of a better term. Apologies if I ever offend any of my clan. And thank you for your valued input.

Seems like a good and fair idea. Not everyone has the ability to run with a headset on, some have a younger audience in the background, and some just don't prefer to listen to it at all.

I think that in the heat of the moment during playing we all tend to go a bit crazy and have some "foul language"
I know I am sometimes but im trying not to.

But sometimes the game is just to frustrating with all the crap that players throw at you
and all the changes Gaijin puts in .

Thanks for the suggestion. A Family Friendly Comms room has been made under the War Thunder lobby. All game modes are welcome there- not just arcade

Mute your microphone with a hotkey!!!

You can create a hot key using:

Settings, Options, Hotkeys, Add, Toggle Microphone Mute

Mute a player in TeamSpeak by right-clicking on their name, and clicking "Mute Client".

Reduce a player's volume in TeamSpeak by right-clicking on their name, and clicking "Change Volume"

Each -3 dB makes a player half as loud.
