Default A suggestion for a separate Teamspeak room for each battle rating, for Air Arcade

Issue: Players are not adding their battle rating (BR) to their nicknames.

Solution: Create a TeamSpeak room for each Air Arcade battle rating.

    For example:

    BR 1
    Reserve
    1.0
    1.3
    1.7
    BR 2
    2.0
    2.3
    2.7
    BR 3
    3.0
    3.3
    3.7
    BR 4
    4.0
    4.3
    4.7
    BR 5
    5.0
    5.3
    5.7
    BR 6
    6.0
    6.3
    6.7
    etc.

At the Saturday meeting, players were asked to append their battle rating to their TeamSpeak nickname,
but on Sunday most players (including officers) were not doing it.

Since it is understandably too much trouble for most players,
let's make things easier by having a room for each battle rating,
so players can simply enter the room that matches their battle rating.
This will also save having to type, which some of us do not like .

Separate BR rooms will let more people be on TeamSpeak and playing Air Arcade at the same time,
which seems like a good thing.

Separate BR rooms will also make things less intimidating for new low tier players, since they will have their own rooms.
So now a new low tier player can comfortably join AOD and easily find others playing at his level.
This may help keep players active in AOD.

    Thanks

We are a inclusive clan. The separation of rooms vs BR not only defeats that purpose, but in fact makes it harder on the officers to have to "Police' where people play vis a vis/Battle rating. If it becomes a huge issue, which it hasn't of late, We should look at it then.

if You're too lazy to type, then perhaps seated video games aren't Your cup of tea....Seriously. We have/can work this out w/out further reconstruction to TS3.

I am not sure if its just me or everyone else but when ever I join a channel the first thing to come out of my mouth is to ask which BR we are flying or tanking.

As far as I know we are only allowed to have a certain amount of TS room
we can't make a room for every BR really
because then we would have to do it for AB / RB / and SIM aswell

Typing the BR your doing behind your name is not mandatory its just a helpfull tool to other players coming in the room
and like Cadimus said the first thing most members do when they enter a room is asking "what you guys doin"

Thank you for the suggestion. While I see your reasoning, we will be keeping the rooms as they are at the moment. The two main reasons are 1) we dont want to be making rooms where the new guys hang out thats different from the veterans- mixing it up is very good and 2) we do limit the number of rooms per division so that we do not have just 1-2 people applicable for channel and a lot of scrolling for everyone

I apologize for the intrusion :) I had a conversation with Jeffers about this tonight and put forth a couple of my ideas. This is what he came up with in his own teamspeak to hopefully be applied to AOD's if it works.

I beleive it's so much nicer to jump from one room to the other trying to find the appropriate BR for our game AND saying HELLO BOYS in the process.

I tried it and don't feel the need to add any BR to my name anymore. In the course of one morning while I was on I ended up changing the BR I was playing in eight to nine times in game while remembering to alt+tab out only half the time to update TS. At one point it read BR=6.7 when I was doing 1.3's. I simply forgot to update TS, and hypothetically speaking, someone saw that on TS and ran for the hills because they didn't know I switched BR's.

Besides, I'm not a stickler often on BR's. I'm more than willing to switch BR's to help a clansman out because it's not about the grind for me (except when I have a booster going). It's about having a good time. Personally to me it's nicer when someone pops in and says hi, what BR are you playing. Then I usually get to meet someone new, which to me is the point of being in this clan.

IMO i would much rather be in 1 room with 20 + people in it trying to sync in, understandably ppl don't want to always play the same thing, which is of course okay because this is war thunder. but i don't think we need anymore rooms.. if you can remember just type ur BR after ur name in TS its not that difficult folks.. also, use the in game chat channel to your advantage, there is a reason we have it.. if you don't ever look at it.. what then, are u seriously freaking doing anyways? you can see the in game chat in hanger, in loading and in the middle of a battle.. make use of it.. and always of course, feel free to hop in and out of any channel as previously stated countless times.. what BR you guys playing? no-one is going to get butt hurt if you say oh naw man I'm good with that and hop out the channel to the next one.. communication is the key to everything. so communicate

Yeah, I think this would just add unnecessary clutter to an already huge TS. The way things are set up now is easy enough and I don't find any problems with it.

1-Typing BR post-name is not new
    2-It didn't work before either
    3-It's not needed.

I personally like that You have to go in a room/ask what BR/Tier,etc.Starts a conversation, get's the room "going'and often,People end up flying a different plane/rating than they planned. Let it go please. We're fine the way it is.

I have to agree with the majority on this. Popping into the different rooms to see what people are playing and who has a spare slot is a great way to meet new people and catch up with your clan mates. In some instances, BR changes from match to match so typing it after your name could become rather tedious.

If you had the idea to grind out a certain vehicle for a night, perhaps make a post here on the forums laying out what you wish to achieve and inviting other members to join you. May help it putting together a solid 4 man group.

Being relatively new to the clan and not a veteran of war thunder either, I think it's fun to drop down for lower players or even (and this is probably just me) get up-tiered and completely outmatched to see if I can get the skill matters medal. It's a great way to find people you enjoy playing with and to gain skill. All said and done I'd say majority HAS to rule on this one
