Over the past few weeks, AOD Racing has been gearing up for our next big endurance challenge:
12 Hours of team-based racing at the storied Sebring International Raceway.
Opened in 1950 for motorsports, Sebring originally started life as a United States Army Air Forces training base. From 1941 to 1946, pilots trained at Sebring to fly the B-17 Flying Fortress.
Pure determination to work as a team and overcome adversity pushed us to recover from being 4 laps off the lead early in the running, back to the lead lap by the final hour, and in contention to challenge for the win.
We came up just short of the victory ( 2nd place finish ), however there is nothing to hang our heads about as this effort will go down as our
top finishing position in a 6+ hour endurance event thus far as well as our THIRD Podium finish in a row!
Both of our teams honorably represented AOD on-track and put on display yet another inspiring effort!
