He doesn't sound Polish to me ...
... but his name is Korczakowski! Let's welcome him to the clan!

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue
My family moved from Poland in the late 1800's. I think the "cz" makes the "ch" shound in English and the "w" makes a "v" sound. Outside of a few sentences and phrases I cannot speak the language well. I don't know much about the generation of the family who came here, but my Dziadzia who flew B-25s in the pacific in WW2 (he actually survived getting shot down) could speak a lot of languages including Polish, Russian, German, English and Japanese. He died a few years ago of old age.
If I had to learn any languages aside from English it would probably be re-learning Spanish which kinda drained away after I took it for 3 years in HS, or Russian because again it's just a more widely known language (dispite the fact Russians haven't gotten along well with Poles historically). That way I would know one language of the 3 largest European language trees. Germanic English, Slavic Russian and Romantic Spanish.
Today is Dyngus day though where we celebrate after Lent! I never usually have to worry about Lent though because I don't usually eat meat. The only exception is Pizza!
