AOD's Code of Conduct
The Angels of Death Code of Conduct is the face of our clan. Not only is it a guideline for member conduct, it is also a statement about what kind of gamers we are, and who we're looking for.
All members agree to the Code of Conduct upon being accepted into the clan, and are expected to uphold the code at all times. Our code ensures that our members conduct themselves respectfully and preserve the respected image of the clan.
Violation of the Code of Conduct or the Armored Warfare Rules and Regulations can result in a removal from the clan.
Strive to conduct ourselves in an appropriate manner
Do not accuse other members or other members of another clan of hacking or continue to say they suck. Do not trash talk anyone in the game, even if you have won or lost a game, doing so makes AOD looks bad and doesn't produce a good image of the clan. Do not purposely TK in a game, especially if you had it being done to yourself, do not do it to others.
Offer help to anyone who seeks it, if it is possible
Never be to busy to help out another member with any issue they have, Don't expect others to know everything you know, If you know how to fix a problem, don't make them to go look for someone else, help them and work with them to fix any issue's they may have (this includes potential recruits)
Project a positive image of yourself and the AOD clan to others
As said in rule #1, Do not call people "Hackers", Don't continue to cause arguments while in-game saying "you suck" and continue a argument that may lead to AOD being given a bad name in general, always remember when playing in groups, an action of one person will lead to the entire group being viewed, so if someone is being an asshat, people will think that said group are complete asshats also, leading to AOD giving a bad image!
Put the needs of the clan first, above personal goals
If we are looking for people to play a tournament game, or to help start a server, or even with a special task, you are expected to leave any other game to help out, If we need help figure something out for vehicle maneuvering or unusual uses for game equipment, stop playing and help us, AOD benefits from everyone being a part of what we do here, this does not mean leaving a family matter and helping out, remember family and personal issues always come first!
Support members of AOD
If a member doesn't agree or want to use a set class, help them out, Don't just let them continue to go that same class and get slaughtered, Extend any knowledge you may have on that class/weapon and help train them to become a better player/person, remember we strive as a community and to help each other, doing this will expand our general knowledge of them game.
That helps all of our when going back into the game!
Attempt to resolve personal differences directly with the concerned individual(s)
If someone is annoying you or you don't agree with someone or how they are acting, let them know.. they can't fix issue's if they don't know what they are doing wrong, Never yell at the person on Teamspeak or cause an argument with them, be respectful to the people that may be in the channel, ask the person to move to another channel and talk to them or use the Teamspeak private chat function to sort the issue out, If the situation escalates to quickly and you do not know what to do, do not disconnect from Teamspeak in a rage and never come back online, go and find a higher ranking officer you could talk to and try work things out, but always remember to be respectful and peacefully try and fix the issue.
Remind other AOD members of expected conduct in a tactful, non- threatening way, and if possible, in private
If this topic is required to be explained, after explaining all the other rules, You probably do not belong in AOD
Promote fellowship within the game community
Be respectful to the PUGS, offer them assistance with anything they may need, if you notice someone that is new to the game and doesn't know how to use a certain class/weapon HELP THEM OUT, Don't write them off as a complete tool/idiot, Today's PUG is tomorrow's full member. Without them, we limit ourselves. Help them and they will flock to us. Which in turn helps AOD grow.
Do not condemn or humiliate other clan members
Pretty much the same explanation as rule #7
If you require this rule Explained, you don't belong in AOD.
Win and lose games honorably, show sportsmanship
Don't bitch about people not helping you out, Don't call people hackers, Don't tell other players/members they suck, Simply say Good game & Well Played (GG - WP) want to do more? continue to say you think they did good, or if you can't do that, don't say anything at all.
Maintain AOD loyalty
Don't talk smack behind our backs, if you are not happy with AOD, let us know and we will try and fix problems. Don't stay here if its not were you belong, you're not under oath!
No jokes or comments about a members religion, skin color, or sexual preferences
It is never ok to comment or joke about someones, race, religion, sexual preference, This goes for conversations over Teamspeak, private messages, in-game and on the forums, Remember that AOD consists of many different people and we're all here to play games and have fun, if you have a problem with that... remember you are not here under oath.
This applies to ALL games that AOD supports, including our own!
Actions AOD members should NEVER do!
This is how OUR division will handle these rules, We are not in charge of any other division and these rules will not apply for other divisions but our own, If you notice something wrong with another division Inform the Armored Warfare CO/XO of these issue's so they can take the appropriate measures to stop said
- Do NOT go into a match, planning on Rage quitting or quitting in general
- Do NOT go into a match to make other people rage quit (Including AOD)
- Do NOT troll the players in matches or any other way shape or form!
- Do NOT feed a flame troll or any troll for that matter!
- Do NOT be disrespectful in game chat. You can speak up for yourself, just keep it classy.
When playing, members MUST be on TeamSpeak3 regardless of what server they are currently playing on. Removal from AOD will follow two or three infractions of this rule. If asked about it, remain calm and either apologize or explain the situation. Do not be rude to whomever is inquiring.
Members can be in multiple clans but cannot be in a clan that offers any game that AOD supports as a division. Members have a choice to either leave their other clan(s) or leave AOD. No hard feelings either way.
All members are to wear AOD tags when playing games that AOD supports. If you take off AOD tags, you quit AOD.
No political, religious, or racial discussions. Be respectful to ALL.
Whining and Complaining
Do not whine and complain about the game that we are playing. It takes the mood in team-speak down and is counter intuitive to what we are all here for. It also makes you look like a child. Play the game that we are given, not the one that you want it to be. Work around the limitations that are thrown at you and you will become a better player. Constant whining in the TeamSpeak3 channels will not
All members are expected to take part in the Division. This means playing in matches together, being in teamspeak and taking part in the forums. This is the bare minimum that a member must do to keep there membership. AOD does not collect membership fee's, it does not tell anyone how their game should be played or how good they should be at it. All that is required is participation. AOD does not want members for the sake of having members. People who merely want to wear the tags for the tags sake will not be here for long
Rank/Clan Matches/Competitive Gaming
During clan matches, members are expected to be on their best behavior. No matter how bad a stomping they receive or give, they will not make us look like amateurs in front of other clans. There will be no communication in game about hacking, glitching, weapon whoring or camping with the other team. Pull together and overcome any obstacles that are thrown your way
Rage Quitting/Quitting in general
Don't do it. Quitting in the middle of a match is leaving your clanmates out to hang. Wait until the match is over and then bow out gracefully. In the meantime, strive to overcome your opponents - Any quitting along the lines of this is frowned upon, we will be giving warnings to anyone that is going to rage quit or do anything that may relate to this!
Infractions of any of these rules may result in rank demotion and/or removal from AOD. Please do your best to heed these rules and then we can all just get back to having fun.
