They've set the max repair bill on that thing to 24K+ lions. I got pilot sniped by a teammate and the bill was nearly 14K. I went up again and got pilot sniped while approaching a B17, and the bill was over 24K. I don't know why, but they have set this plane up to be a money sponge.

If you think that is a lot to pay for repairs try the japanese Ki 84 ko Hayate, repair bill : 32637 Lions in RB but only 4236 in AB

Ok. I would not want to pay 18K or 19K SL either, but my point is this: You can kill things with your seafire or hunter. I was flying a just-one-mod 335 into battle. I'm lucky if I hit some enemy plane while flying it.
