Looks like your hands are tied with the type of cables you have and the space. Is it a case that has visible internals when buttoned up? If not just go with getting everything out of the way, the GPU should be fine since its a blower.

Your case and power supply make all the difference. This is my old AM3+ build. Not sure why I don't have a picture of my new one but I was pretty happy with these results.
