Commentary wise, I think my videos are improving (older videos I sounded dead) though half the time I use Audacity it removes the static, the other half it adds a new noise.

If I'm correct, reasoning for the name is that it wasn't fully tested before production, by the time all the issues were fixed it was already obsolete. That and crew wanted a longer range.
