Transparent background?
Hey guys!
Normally for sigs you can use a .png with no background and the white won't show up.
That's how my current file is.. what am I missing?
Thanks!

It must be your project file having a white background of some sort. If you are using photoshop, while creating a new project make sure to change the Background Contents to "Transparent". This will get rid of the background. Just delete the background layer and hit save again.
It also really depends what program you're using, e.g Paint won't allow transparent backgrounds even if you save it as png. White background won't be automatically replaced with transparency.

You have to remove the background in order to create transparency. An easy way to do this is to create a blank layer to serve as the transparent background, and then erase the parts you want to be transparent in the layer above.
You want a checkered background, indicating transparency.
EDIT: Ah rambo beat me to it. :)

Meh, I just referenced my imgur upload instead of uploading it straight to AOD.
Strange, but it works :)
Looks damn sexy too

In my experience, if the forums have to resize it at all, it'll add the white background. Not sure why.

With Imgur i've had this problem, what i guess is although it may still list itself as a .PNG sometimes it is actually converted. I'll get strange distortions or a straight up white background often.

Also saving images right here on the website is way better than doing it from the outside sources as it'll always be saved so you did good there kirsch.
