Just a weird little thing, I received a few messages and I sent a message out, but the message I sent is not in my sent folder so I have no idea if Jinx got it or not and haven't gotten a response, is this a normal thing or is the interwebs hating me again?

I have the same thing. I can't see my sent messages but I can assure you that he got it. It's just a weird thing on this forum.

Pretty sure you can enable keeping a copy of sent messages in your settings somewhere, in case you wanted it in the future

For future reference, by default the forums does not save sent messages but they are indeed being sent. You have 2 options for saving your messages. Either check the box under additional options to save the message when you are in the "send private message" screen or you can go to settings > general settings > Private messaging and selecting "save a copy of sent messages in my sent items" which will save every message you send.

    Hope that helps!

This is how you can save a copy of your message in your sent items without changing your settings, if you do not want to save every message you sent.

It's not an anomaly. Due to the massive number of people that frequent the forums, and the massive number of PMs they send, it makes sense to not keep sent messages by default. For the ones that want this behavior, you just have to opt in.
