I'm a firm believer in EVGA. I've had really good success with them. The one time I did have an issue, it was resolved very quickly.

They are all good. Just pick one you like better.
I've had ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte and EVGA. All are good.
I went with ASUS for 1000 series

Zotac, if you want the best overclocking "out of the box" EVGA if you like having fantastic customer support.

none, I'd personally wait about another month unless you absolutely have to buy now for the 1080ti to drop (or at least the paper release should happen around CES time) to see if it doesn't push prices downward more.

I'm fairly certain that Zotac and EVGA coolers are better (Sans the issues with the ACX 3.0 Oversight.)

Well then you should do a bit more research. New ASUS ROG Strix coolers have a huge improvement over the predecessor. Check it out.
My GPU never goes above 65C with all overclocking and stays at 45% fan speed. Overclock for my GTX 1070:
    Core Clock 2070 Mhz
    Memory Clock 8400 Mhz

And also, if we include AMD GPU like RX 480 then you'll see that ASUS ROG Strix RX 480 has very low temps compared to other.

Here is some info for you.
Take a look at temperatures for ASUS, EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte.

EVGA SC has 72C on full load
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages..._review,9.html

MSI has 69C on full load
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages..._review,8.html

Gigabyte has 67C on full load
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages..._review,9.html

ASUS has 65C on full load
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages..._review,9.html

Just to add more... here is my personal benchmark video for BF1 where you can see that temps are way below 65C. ON TOP OF THAT MY GPU IS OVERCLOCKED IN THIS VIDEO

Meh, I'd rather take a slightly hotter card, with better CS than a cold card that if it breaks, I'm out of a GPU for a month while fighting CS to get my GPU fixed. That's what happens with Gigabyte and Asus cards. So, Hope your card never breaks!

There is no problem with ASUS CS. It's an old Myth. They care for their customers more now than any other brand. Go to Amazon and read some comment sections, you will see that ASUS is the only company that actually read people reviews and they respond to bad reviews to customers who had troubles with their product and offer their help. Also, they are the ONLY brand who listened to GPU consumers and they made Pascal generation card as per consumer requests: NO ACCENT COLOR, ONLY RGB.

My friend had trouble with his ASUS Zenfone 2. He dropped it and broke the phone screen. He went to ASUS and they fixed it without any problems. Tell me other brand that fixes physical damage? Have ever been to ASUS Service center yourself? Sounds like not...

So, you rather have Hot GPU that burns down your PC and damages other components?

Once again, bro, you need to do more research. You are stuck with old and false info. Moreover, seems like you have lack of experience.

I have the EVGA 1080 FTW. its a pretty good card. I've had no issues with it yet. i got this one because i couldn't fit anything longer than 10.5" in my current case and i didnt want to pay $699 on a reference cooler.
