The population of flower children implodes, they slowly die off until what few numbers they had before are whittled down. Without anyone promoting love or peace the world turns violent within itself. With no one to speak against government opposition they assume full control over all exsistence. Eventually everyone is implanted with tracking chips and assigned work for the greater good. Anyone who speaks or thinks against government rule is jailed and never heard from again. Eventually people are replaced with machines with only a select few remaining alive whose only interest is to drive a profit from amongst themselves. That is until they to die and the only things left to rule are the machines...
