The much anticipated DayZ standalone hit steam last Monday. If you don't know much about the game, its a survival simulator based in a post-zombie apocalypse state. Your character works their way the the zombie-infested post-soviet state of Chernarus, searching for necessary items for survival (food, water, medicine, weapons, clothing, etc.)
The game is currently in alpha, and much more content is planned for the future, such as vehicles, clan strongholds, etc. If you'd like to join us, the game is currently on steam for $30 dollars (price will increase as development goes on), and a trial division is set up. We'd love to see you out there slayin some zombies with us!

i would love to buy this, but atm cant justify it while owning arma 3, a similar mod will no doubt be released for free for that, so although it sucks i gotta pass :/

How is this different then Warz? Because that turned out to be a pile of dong. As im out of a division with ToR be shut down, im interested because it would give me a chance to be part of AOD again but im not gonna waist $30 in hopes its not shit like Warz is.

DayZ is made by a different company. Same one who made the DayZ mod if I'm not mistaken. While it's still in Alpha, I'm sure it'll be a better game than WarZ was.

Yeah, the company that made the dayz mod is making dayz. If you're interested at all, I highly suggest you buy it, everyone is having lots of fun, even the ones coming from warz. Originally Posted by AOD_Zuul
