Default Games on the horizon and membership.

We have some new games coming up in AOD. If we have a trial Division with an AOD clan or guild ALL members playing that game are expected to sign up with the AOD guild.

If I find members are playing off in splinter groups trying to avoid the AOD guild I will see to it you are not a member any longer. Your Rank won't matter and who you know won't matter. This trend ends now.

Now this does not mean that if you have friends and family you can't venture off and hang with them but you should have at least 1 character in the official AOD guild.

This goes for full and part time members.

This should go without saying, thanks for the reminder.
By the way, what games are you referring to?

Games that make it to trial status or games being heavily talked about. Like Day Z which is a Trial.

I don't think the object of the post is to point fingers at any one game but to serve instead as a reminder of our CoC. There's always an influx of new members so occasional reminders are helpful.

Something we try to point out to our recruits in BF4 division: AOD requires that you be in vent when in game and be active on our website, our game server, and our Ventrilo. We don't require minimum time commitments or membership dues. All we ask for from our members is community involvement. When all is said and done if someone doesn't want to be part of that, why be a member? To that end, this makes a lot of sense.

Never understood this. There is so much more enjoyment in playing the games with a large number of AOD members all together having fun and joking around.

I try to post in the forums because with my gf and design classes and staying in good health, i barely have time for games but i still like to be with organized knowledgeable people when i decide to play or else it's like trying to play BF4 like a call of duty game, lot of wasted potential

I like AOD and I joined the WarThunder division a few months back, I normally only play one game at a time until I get bored of it. So this rule really doesn't apply to me,

in most cases I only play one game at a time.

That being said this orginal post kinda rubbed me the wrong way I guess. I don't necessarily agree with this rule.

You cant really expect to force a grown person to play in a certain clan or game because they play in certain clan in another game right?

Any person could always make any account in any game and play with whoever they choose right? Just keep it to yourself and circumvent this attempt of a dictatorship, right?

Supporting the clan is great and all , but attempting to force people to play in it in ALL games is another story..at least for grown adults in a free society ..just saying

I can think of multiple reasons why a clan might be strong/active in one division/game but not in another....so people may want to to play other clans in other games for many.many different reasons. Freedom of choice rules.

For example, if someone has played a game with certain clan or friends for years before joining AOD in one division....

Say I played game ABC with several buddies for 5 years in Clan Z, then I started playing War Thunder because Clan Z buddies don't play WT.... I join AOD, but now let's say AOD also has a division in game ABC, your saying people will have to ditch their homies and clan in game ABC and play in the AOD division of that game or be kicked form the other game(War Thunder)?.

It is just not right in my opinion, freedom of choice is a great thing... This type of rule actually seems a bit contradictory to a "honor clan. playing for fun" ...most people will just circumvent a rule like this secretly , it is almost impossible to prevent anyway.

ASK = YES.. FORCE = NO

Asking players to only play in AOD and support all its divisions is a great idea...forcing them to...not so much in my opinion..

might want to rethink this one...

    A little reasoning here:

Simply allowing people to play where they want, with who they want, in any game they want...would be more beneficial in my opinion...that way people don't feel FORCED to do anything..and they will more than likely take a look at AOD in any game they are playing, if AOD has a division in that game... Just considering if they like AOD in game/division...they more than likely will make this choice on their OWN REGARD to play in AOD in that game. At least to look into it and see if the enjoy playing with the members of that division.

But frankly, sometimes the recruiting in each game/division varies greatly.
..I am 39 y/o and if I go into another game that AOD plays and the AOD members of that division are young kiddos with not much in common with myself, I more than likely would enjoy that game in another clan with people I could more relate too with similar interests...

Sometimes you just might not click with the players in one division like you do in another. So if I were to NOT enojy playing this those players in that division/game , does that mean I should not play that game at all unless I am in AOD, or that I should have to leave the division(s) in AOD I do enojy playing in???

sounds like a NET LOSS IN MEMBERSHIP.

Giving choice = potential additions to memberships/players this rule otherwise would not allow.

Just keeping it real here...trying to be honest..

I enjoy the clan but highly disagree with this rule.

signed... grown adult, 39 y/o US jump master veteran...freedom rocks!!!!!
