    nice one...

interesting to know that WT planes/gunners can sometimes do that.

I do know however that current defensive weapon technology is pretty damn good at tracking and blowing up incoming projectiles, navy ships of today particularly have some pretty awesome weapon systems that can do this very well to protect them.

It sounds cool and it also looks cool, but if you watch carefully you will notice that the rockets traveled the exact same distance , he had the the rocket activation distance way to low.

yeah that wasn't the gunner killing the rockets, that was the rockets set to airburst. russians, german, and japs if they have any can be set to "time fused" to blow @ x distance.

usa\brit HVAR rockets are direct impact only.

    Yes indeed.

We were discussing it on Ventrilo yesterday after I posted the video. :P

Guess I got over excited .. LOL but i DID look cool when it happened.

    Conclusion : "Timed" rockets ..

Optical illusion was nifty though.. :)

    Thanks guyz.

Phalanx CIWS-or "SeaWhiz" Close In Weapons System. A 20mm self-contained unit that is KU band radar controlled for close-in protection. Able to take out incoming missiles, including "Skimmer" Exocet type,as well as some ballistic and all/any Airframe mounted attacks. This thing can track ant-farts and is dangerous as hell

RIM 116 Rolling Airframe Missile-A multi-system operated missile defense system. It does a much better job at tracking/engaging skimmer type targets as well as some ships/fast mover Corvette type attack boats.

    Yep..weaps nerd...sorry

I have shot down one rocket before. It was after a training session when we were screwing around. The rockets weren't on time delay fuses, so I know it didn't blow up when it was supposed to. So it's possible, but still a tough shot.
