    0) First of all, don't.
    1) Find a flash drive or an external hard drive and back up your games on that.
    2) Unplug your HDD from your PC.
    3) Install Windows onto your SSD.
    4) Boot up from the Windows CD to format and completely wipe & delete any partitions left on your original HDD.
    5) Celebrate you didn't waste 8 hours installing, deleting, wiping and crying that you can't get Windows to start.
    6) Copy+Pasta from external drive.

You will thank me for this.

Agreed. A fresh install for an SSD is best. Also, make sure you enable AHCI in your BIOS BEFORE you install Windows.

Oh yeah. This. Good of you to bring it up. If AHCI is not enabled in your BIOS before you install, you will not get the full read/write speeds from your SSD.

I've already loaded my one copy of windows onto my HDD, don't have another fresh one to put on SSD.

Windows allows up to three (3) activations per product (license) key with no issues. Simply follow Kc2000's instructions and you'll be good.

Glad to help. Planetside 2 load times were significantly increased for me as well.
