Default Were there any more modellers here?

    Oi!

Yeah - as thread title, anyone else building models? :)

I have been building small kits lately (1/72) but have a couple of decent 1/48 and 1/32s in the pipe-line..

    Here is a recent quick-build, an Airfix 1/72 P-51D:

And here is a Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Vb (Trop) - gonna be a Malta-based flown by Canadian super-ace George Beurling.. His father was from Sweden appaerently..

    This one:

    Next up is this:

    So, share yours! :)

The anti-glare green on the P-51? Or have I fakked up something? ;) The anti-glare is Tamiya´s Olive Drab. It is varnished here and needs to be toned down with matte varnish...

Thanks guys! It is.. Usually a good relaxation after frustrating WT games.. ;)

Found some old gems in a local store selling old kits - look at this! :D
The b****r nehind the desk asked me if I did not want any of their Bf 109s or Fw 190s though, they had got a huge bunch of Hasegawas the other day... Did not know if I should laugh or cry...

    Looking very nice dave
    I
have been doing modeling when i was younger (kid) it must be at least 30 years or more ago since I made one.

I do remember having a b17 and some spitfires and I had the german battleship "the bissmarck"

and some jets like the F16 and the mig.

I also had a toy train set up on a big table thingy and i made all the houses and a brigde and a tunnel for that my self.

I killed all that train stuf by falling down on it :( .

Right.. Coffman starter in resin added, very spartan cockpit added (no washes this time, it will hardly be seen without open hood so skipped that)

The fit is usually absolutely perfect on Tamiya´s kits but the fuselage halves where pushed apart by the wings a bit - the fit is that good that a liitle bit of paint messes it up. Filler will cure that!
