Thanks!
Seems like a decent patch, the list of changes is pretty impressive.
Lmao, I don't know how hard is to get the new premium M46 Tiger on the crates but I just got it in the first try of the 300GE.
Pd: RNGesus smiled upon me
I take my words back. They took away X2 for the first win of the day. All of their advances in game mechanics and graphics and realism will be of no use if they keep screwing up the game economy and making the grind even harder.
Ok let's carry some "Little boys" with that B-29(If you dont know what little boy is search it on google)
only one booster stood out for me and it was changing a 10%RP or lions to 500% but there are others who have it but you only get one chance to get it out of 6 others
Changes what not listed in the 1.47 patch notes
J2M3 had its armament corrected to 2 x Type 99 mk 1 and 2 x Type 99 mk 2 cannons
F2H-2 hydraulic boosters changed to only provide aileron boost assist
F9F-2 hydraulic boosters changed to only provide aileron boost assist
F9F-5 hydraulic boosters changed to only provide aileron boost assist
Ki-200 had its fuel increased to 6 minutes

The good: Advances in flight physics modeling, new planes, new Tank view modes, cool ground forces terrain graphics changing as you drive over things
The bad: X2's eliminated replaced by random daily item/powerup, Purchased Power Ups - at least they are only accelerating research and lions not adding pay to win access to "premium" ammunition etc , No indication in the battle results tables(at least as of right now) that a "Power-up" has actually been applied.
The ugly/stupid: Inventory Store. Yes you too can buy a box for GE = $ that holds one of 7 things more than half of which are worth less than the cost of the box. Ever seen how many people Bob Barker screwed on "Let's make a Deal"??? This is the first step towards a true pay to win business model.
Conclusion (My opinion only you mileage may vary): 1.47 seems to be a very nice upgrade to game mechanics and a complete screw up of the economic model. This doesn;t bother me so much because I already own virtually every vehicle in the game, but is more important to newer players. However, this is the first step towards a disastrous move towards a pay to win model that so many MMOs utilize. With the addition of the "inventory" and "power up" it is only a matter of time before special ammunition or certain Flight/Ground capabilities are only available to those who pay for them with real money.
daily bonus seems to be bugged haven't figured it out exactly but i managed to get yesterdays bonus twice with several hours logged off in between.
I didn't say it is a pay to win model now (read it again), but that they are setting up the programming infrastructure & economic model to move towards that financial model in the future.
Even if they never go to pay to win, and this is only my opinion, but "Mystery Chests" and "Power-ups" belong in an arcade platform game, not in a physics based combat flight/ground forces simulator.
Warning the vampire will now rip its combat flaps over 400 km/h...
Need to confirm 100% though.
I like the update everything is spot on other than getting rid of the x2. but everything else hasnt changed, you were always able to purchase vehicles, lions or research points. they just added the gamble feature towards it but it does seem like they are setting up for something bigger/else to come in that system because as it stands now it is pretty meager at best to make such a change for the limited things available
IMO the p2p model is dying, and quickly. It's basic human nature covered in a semester in Psych 1A,but I'll break it down quickly..
The P2P model insults the intelligent gamer/player and offends them. Many of them, the hardcore gamers who are long-term gamers, will refuse to buy in and thus, after the initial "Newness' of the game wears off,the game fades away or is forced to react in some other way to fix the system. P2P players are not loyal, are usually not very skilled, and in general, are the "arse end' of the gaming world.
The P2P players who do stay, will find themselves with little/no skill and great equipment, dying often, losing just as much. They get furious, cannot understand why they are losing, and find a way to "game' the system to make it work.THIS becomes boring, pwning people w/no effort, and thus, the P2P model dies here as well due to lack of continued support via P2P.
Much of the issue is in the fact that newer generations are used to "Flash in the pan' excitement. "See/WoW-EDM-Etc...' as having been raised in a "new/now/Me" society. They are JUST as used to that in the gaming community.Problem is,it's not the youngsters who KEEP the games going..it's the older, wiser, productive gamers who HAVE expendable income, but only for the correct reasons/usage. We,the older gamers, are outnumbered in #'s by the Youngsters, however We usually outperform the kids merely due to williingness to be part of a 'team" or "Horde" and are usually good to go to sacrifice a personal win/kill for the teams greater good...
in summary-
Youth and exuberance will NEVER over-come Wisdom and Patience. Games will come/go or change as a P2P model, however the "pay once/own it" days will come back, and we'll revert to DLC on the order of 5-20$ range depending on game, etc.
That's the opinion of My P-1A classmastes whom are gamers and span the ages of 19-59!

Great post on reddit from our CO Dannes. http://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/c...ailings_found/
Hence the "Treasure chests" and "Power-ups" candy for the kiddies and short attention span crowd....
+1
Absolutely Brilliant! One of the key points he brings up is Gaijin's repeated pattern of failing to address obvious problems while making system changes without adequately testing/understanding the gameplay implications/consequences when released to the full user base. Bravo Dannes!
