Do you mean two instances? like running the same program twice?

I can think of a few reasons....
Could be a relay for another guild/outfit, stealing out "secrets." Could also enter the same server twice, either under two different identities or just to hear multiple channels....

Guys, lets try to not assume the worst. If you think there might be an issue with a request, rise it to a Sgt. The Sgts should be addressing potential problems privately, not flogging people in public based on assumptions made by others in a thread.
