Signature I made....

For a AOD BF4 member. I enjoy making signatures.

If anyone want's one made, message me privately or replay to the thread. It will help me greatly if you already know what colors you want and what kind of picture (ie: anime girl, or bf4 character or any other image).

That movie is going to piss some MSgt+ off, it's a huge load on a mobile device.

It's only 10 megs, but there's a handful of others that are a tad extreme (some roughly ~60mb). I won't point any fingers though... *cough*tomclancy*cough*

"Only" 10mbs is too big, in my opinion. Make sure you review the policy on signature art.

I was being completely facetious :P

But really though, it pales in comparison to some of the others that still exist. :)

We should probably amend the policy to include a size limit, as it is currently only dimensions. Heck, I don't like your's Guy, but I'm a "pic only" side of the house, which is why I don't make some of these rules.

I went to great lengths to ensure mine was ~800 kbs :)

I'll hide the 100mb gifs I have then...

Also anyway to fix the alpha issues with transparency with the uploader?

Then I will avoid gifs if this is a issue and such..

GIFs themselves are not necessarily frowned upon. As long as they are done tastefully, and with consideration for filesize (optimization is always a good idea), it shouldn't be an issue. Big factors that may attract negative attention are:

- images with lots of distracting motion, animation
- images that are unnecessarily heavy (think about the people who browse the forums on mobile devices who *don't* have unlimited data plans)
- signatures that are abnormally large (if your signature has a 1:2, 1:1 ratio, it's probably too big)


The lesson to take away from all of this is: just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. :P

Usually all my Gifs are 500x200 cause of past forums/gaming communities I was in (no longer in), that was their requirement. And All my gifs are clean and tasteful. I'll pay more attention to size and how big they are and so forth.

I liked it and I've done a few large gifs myself so no worries, just wanted to let you know.

Like one of Navy's 18 different signatures, you know one for each division he's been full time in P

as a graphic designer its kinda big even me have to work on fixing mine. It seems to be a good idea but the size needs to be reduced
