I did not see a thread in here, so maybe some people did not hear the news. Sadly yesterday we lost one of the greatest blues musicians in the world. B.B. King passed away at the age of 89. He was a great inspiration to many, including myself. Even though now he's looking down on us from up above, his music will live on.

Much like Miles Davis,B.B. wasn't a "Technical'player. He played what he felt,heard..Most important,besides the sound,is the space between the notes...the shrill trill of a high c fading off,as if to say "I've said it all,the silence speaks louder than My words". Another musical great,entertaining St.Peter and the folks on Music Square in that great beyond. Rest easy Beale Street Boy,Rest easy...Our thrill is gone,but Yours has but begun.

While BB has passed on, his contributions to the music world will live forever. His influence extends well beyond the blues genre to virtually all modern music. As with virtually all guitarists (I've played 35+ years) BB King has influenced my style in many ways. Say more with less... make each note count...don't just play, channel your soul. BB Kings legacy lives on in countless souls.
