So, for a while now, I've been having troubles playing videos. I've tried playing the videos on my computer, tablet, phone, and they just won't load. HOWEVER, if I use my phone's 4G connection, it'll play the video just fine. If I use a proxy server on my computer, the video will load just fine.
Is it my IP fucking me over? Or is it something else? I don't understand why this is happening and it's a pain in the ass to keep having to jump through a bunch of hoops just to watch a Youtube video.
This probably won't work but have you tried a different account for youtube?
I've tried it on my phone, and it doesn't load. My phone isn't connected to my Youtube account.
Does your ISP borrow IP's?
I know in NY we borrow stuff from Canada and your in Washington, so i'd imagin possibly if theres enough IP's needed there that they could borrow from someone that would be blocking your content.
Though when that happens it usally tells you
I'm assuming that you've done the normal checks, clear cache and cookies. Release / renewed your Modem and cleared your routers routing tables and such?
Do you use your ISP's DNS or do you use something like Open DNS or Google?
Have you tried flushing your dns?
It def could be slow DNS resolution. That's why I use Opendns.com and use their auto updater that keep my ip updated with their dns. All you need is that updater and to enter the DNS servers into your router. It's a lot better than using your isp's overloaded and packed DNS server.
Sorry, I forgot about this. The videos started working for me again. I didn't change anything.
