I climb, and there are no bombers to shoot. (need to fly against US to see any significant bomber spams)
I get ready to hit the deck, and I get maps with tanks or pillboxes, with plenty of enemy company low, no matter where on the map I try to hide and kill ground targets.
Then, on those rare chances I get someone to fly with me, I choke and auger in, or AAA gets a lucky burst on me, and I'm dead before I get started.
It just seems like I can have no good luck with this airplane.
The P61 requires a different sort of mission profile for effective use. Personally I did the following-
To get the bombs,I attacked low-level assaulter planes and bombers. "Dont forget to choose the AI ammo when You earn it for the turret'. Once I got the 500lb'ers aboard,I concentrated on low/mid-level bombing.The offset of the bombsight is extreme at lower altitudes,so it takes a bit of learning to hit them effectively,but is a short learning curve. Might suggest concentrating on lighter ground units. Light pillboxes,AAA,etc. Once the 1000lb'ers are achieved,You can attack the heavier targets "Tanks/full pillboxes" however. Avoid ANY sort of Marine target other than light patrol boats/cargo ships. The destroyers,etc have exceedingly tight AAA envelopes starting approx. 13,000ft from target,getting exponentially tighter per 5000ft lost.The size/lack of maneuverability of the P61 makes it a HUGE target for that AAA. Other than that,its a grind Man. Keep Your head up/on a swivel and go get em!
could always just fly arcade and make it the only plane in your lineup so you can just go as quickly as possible and hop back in as soon as you die.. there should always be that opportunity to get a bomber or two at the start of a match.. then some ground units or even a few fighters.. and if u die.. u need not worry about having to respawn as u have 1 vehicle in ur lineup :-D
