So what do you all think about this combo Steam put out for steamlink. Its essnetially a way of streaming from your rig to your tv right ? At the speed of your in home network connection. I think its a great pricepoint deal when you think you'ed have to have a computer [which i do have and was planning to upgrade next year]. What do you all think about it ? Worth the price for the combo controler / steam link instead of making a media pc with dual boot steambox / media pc os type thing?
I pre-ordered one and a controller for the living room. If i like it i may order a second for the bedroom.
I already have Rokus on all tvs for the media experience. I've done every manner of media system and at the end of the day the Roku is the best one IMO, and it seems to have the best adoption rate from content providers.
I've done just steam streaming to my Surface Pro 3 hooked to the TV and it worked well enough, but i'm hoping this solution will be somewhat more elegant. I'm upset that there are still some games that are difficult or even impossible to get running over the streaming, like Battlefield 4, but I am ready to give some of these games i prefer to play with a controller some love on the bigscreen.
