Best Grinding Aircraft

I've been using the Spit MkXIVe to grind the vampire & venom over the past few days, the spit's great, it has a BR of 5.3 so although not a seal clubbed, is a match, if not slightly better than the majority of aircraft it comes up against regularly. Racks up the lions as well as its quite cheap to repair

For the Germans, I found the D13 premium was very good, but the Horton was excellent, especially in the ground attack role.

For the Americans, well I used the B29 to grind a lot of the jets, you usually get one aircraft kill & can wipe out a lot of ground targets with it, but before that, the p38 Lightning was excellent.

Anyone got any others?

Anything above 3.0 USA/P47. It's the "Utility Truck' of the US line,Imo.

2x1000lb
1x500lb

10x127mm rockets
3400Rds Ground ammo x.50c..

Think about that a minute...Air2Air may be sexier *though the P47 does quite well air2air when it's flight model is adhered to* this is the ground attack airframe to fly.

Sure,a B25 can drop a sub-base in 2 runs carrying full loadout of 3x1000lbs...but that's not alot of tickets,and TICKETS win the games..*ProTip*

So with one run on a random ground strike map Your 1st run,assuming Your aim is on point.You can drop 3 tanks w/bombs, 5 more w/rockets *at 2 rockets per tank* THEN strafe the tanks w/ground ammo...Or,light pillboxes..OH,You're flying 5.0 above/Pillboxes not light?Use the rockets...

Vast amounts of lions/awards from flying in this manner Ive found.

Brits-TyphoonIIB-No bombs,but the rockets n 20mm are the shiznit.

Germans-Anything BF or FW above 2.0-BnZ is the life here.Up/Down/Repeat as Necc.

Japanese-wtf are You flying them again?

IMO,if it ain't a YER2,You dont drop anything w/a Russian airframe. Too small a bombload to do anything with of note..however...Upgraded YER's w/the full loadout,while they are "Sub-base' killers at full loadout,do amazing damage on tank formations. I've seen PapaP'nut take out a line of 10 med tanks w/a single run in these.

Well HELL SON,get after it.Like making big holes in the ground whilst listening to the screams of Your victims and lamentations of their women as they're driven before You? *Props to Conan the Barbarian* then by all means,grab a few bombs n get to work!


Always,no matter what,support the team though.Sometimes ya gotta take a bomber on a gun-truck run,and sometimes Your fighter needs to strafe some ground units.

And as always Mr Rubble is right (in my opinion)\

we did golden battle wagers yesterday with Rubble in the squad and he jsut started killing ground units with his P 47 `s
some rounds were done within 5 min from the start and with some of those round I dont think the enemy knew with hit them up so hard and fast ...

All the P47s are great for grinding. Great against other aircraft when flown right, but if you're pilot skills aren't too sharp it is still a good ground pounder and you can get your RP that way.

i think p-47 is a great fighter and can rip the ground, but set the 47 for what you are going to do. if you are going for air support use stealth and stay on Rubble's tail = fast win

He's right.Tionay and I fly at least 20hrs a week together,more if He get's a lil more time off from the restaurant. I usually attract 2-6 people as I'm objective based,I bomb the HELL out of things for the wins. PapaP'nut and Spanakis did the same. It's a great way to play,imo. Tio usually ends up in double air kills,I end up in double ground strikes,and We WIN alot!

I prefer to use tracer rounds with P47s and spit flames of freedom towards facist and commie planes. :unitedstates:

For Ruskies, I tryed flying the Yak-3 (VK-107) in test flight. That thing seems good. Also the Pe-2-205 is also solid.

For the rising sun, the Ki-96 is a boss. Don't argue, try it in test flight. The thing turn fights with spits.

Yak 9k is a monster with that 45mm cannon https://youtu.be/1u_psOysQoc im getting at least 1 to 4 kills match with it at the moment.
