I'm personally a big fan of GPU-Z. It is very light weight and runs as an executable, so you don't need to install it, just download and run the file. Keep in mind this only monitors GPU stats.
If you are interested in full system monitoring, I'd second VanDS's suggestion of HWMonitor. It's a good little program.

I don't know what make of graphic card you have, but MSI Afterburner is pretty detailed.
AMD Fire Pro
I heard MSI afterburner has some bloat wear. I am going with HWMontior, it (unlike GPU Z) has a fahrenheit option and is more detailed. All of that aside thanks for the help guys I appreciate it.Quote:

it is simply the afterburner program, and if you need to monitor frame rates, then the statistics module for it.
For really light weight monitoring, GPU-z works really well.
Since I already use afterburner, I use its monitoring tool, which goes beyond gpu-z
