So this sad day has come, my a50s has been broken. they are ripped to pieces by my dog. currently dont have too much money about 73$. i just need some quick and good advices for headphones UNDERNEATH that price. mabye up by like 10 bux cause ill get 10 more this week. so yah.
most interested in surround 7.1 dont care if wireless or not. doesnt need a microphone

Also the whole 5.1/7.1 gaming headset stuff is pure marketing. Most games have built in virtualization to simulate surround sound from 2 channels. You are better off purchasing a high quality pair of headphones instead of going for a 5.1/7.1 surround headset as the standard headphones will blow them out of the water in terms of sound quality.
For a more budget conscious purchase, these should do quite well too. Creative Aurvana Live!
