Important 1.37 info about planes you didn't buy before the patch, but unlocked.

You will NOT lose any unlocked aircraft, as in if you unlocked it before 1.37 but didn't buy it, you don't have to research it, only buy.

This is according to the offical patch notes.

I actually copied that and pasted it in one of the threads but cannot find it... I remember the post because I thought it also said you needed to put it in service... where the heck did I post that? Oh Well!

Haven't seen any activity about the new patch here... are you guys able to login and play?

I checked the WT forums and a lot of raging about match making and planes not being unlocked... plus some type of auto graphic card setting that is causing some poor performance.

It's been 6 hours and I still haven't finished downloading the patch. Keeps jumping between 40 - 300 KBps

As a whole I love this patch.

Alot of planes are far better (king cobras are hella buffed, G10s got nerfed)

USA fighter 50 calls are EXTREMELY lethal now. 1/10 second burst will cut anythings wings off if your even close to convergence range. And if it doesn't cut em off it will catch them on fire (Fire is so pretty now)

Direct X 11 makes this game so pretty (Dx11 on all low is better looking than Dx9 on movie and on DX 11 movie,, woooooow)

But one thing is pissing me off to no end. They made it in HB (Realistic) so that any nation can fly with any nation against any nation.

So like one round I was on a team of USA + Russian against German and Briths, next was USA, Rus, and Japs, Against German, Brits, and Japs.

The one I just got out of was USA, German, and Brit against Russian, German, and Jap.

i do not like that.

They did it to reduce queue times (which it did from average of 3-4 mins to 30 sec to 2 min. But I would rather way 3-4 minutes and be propper nations.

Oh and compression makes a HUGE difference. You wont see 109s pulling out of extreme dives like they used to. or see them doing 650 km banking turns.

USA actually out turns germans and other planes easily at high speed and high alt now.

Certain Zeros are UFOs now, but they don't turn well about 350-400 Km/H IAS so like we were out turning zeros with King Cobra (OMG the King Cobra is a fucking awesome plane now even with it mostly stock)

And I really can't emphasize enough how much better the USA 50 cals are now. I fully expect a nerf on them.

I downloaded it this afternoon (EST) and must have hit a sweet spot since I did the whole thing in about 15-20 mins. I only managed to play a couple of games but it all seems pretty good. The biggest difference to me unsurprisingly is the research tree and level set up. It actually seems quite good to be able to play with a more varied set of planes then before and not see the same old faces. I would like to thank those of you - particularly Aviation and Nim for advising to buy everything you could before this patch. It turns out you just needed access to the planes, but all the same, it's helped no end. It appears that you now need to be more focused on which plane you want to go for, rather than the entire level, which has its pro's and cons. If you want to fly several new planes the grind may well become annoying. If you just are aiming for one then it's probably no worse than before trying to get to a level, maybe even better. I was only level 10 and 11 in Uk before so it is a nice treat to be able to go for planes like Lancaster or B17 without having to go through 4 levels. Anyway, a couple of games is not a representative sample, but so far I'm a fan.

I didn't get to play yesterday. The new patch is out! Sweet guess I know what will b downloading at work today.
