PCI Sound Card Variations...
So I've recently been having quite a bit of trouble with my microphone on my PC. I'm using the onboard sound where the sound works fine but the microphone has quit completely in both front and back ports (even with multiple microphones). I've completely deleted the drivers and reinstalled them from the motherboard disk to no avail and it is my last assumption that the sound chip on the MB is defective. However, the sound still works fine which I find quite odd.

The above linked sound card is a pci interface for the pci slot on my motherboard however the slots of the soundcard look quite different compared to the slots on the bank.

Question: Will the sound card I have ordered still work for this motherboard or is there something I have overlooked here?
