Packet loss...?

So, About 4 months ago I had bad bad packet loss problems Comcast sent a tech out they fixed it's been so good no problems at all really got a new modem and all that stuff and now Today I can't legit do nothing can't play games and can't get on Teamspeak without having 10+ packet loss and lagging out, I called up comcast and had my mom chat with them and we were on the phone for 1 hour with a tech that seem'd to know nothing then finally came up with I need a new modem/router because mine is one of those all in ones.. I wanna just get a modem but no money, I just don't know what else could be making me have packet loss... Anyone??

Just wanted to add this..

That will more than likely be your modem/router. If the problem still goes on for another day or so I think you'll have to actually buy a new one. :/

So it seems I need a router/modem but comcast is poop and just sends me the same crap from before........... Grrrrrrr I need to get moeny to get my own one..
