Back on the hunt!
So I just returned my Logitech g430 headset to best buy. (They suck) so now I'm looking around for another pair. I've been looking at the hyperX cloud 2, the Razer 7.1 chromas, and the corsair 7.1 vengeance headsets. If anyone has any other suggestions on this topic let me know. Thanks

Logitech g35 is a nice set. But if you really want 7.1 surround sound I would definitely recommend the Razor Tiamat 7.1

I've had a couple of small Logitech headsets I used to use years and years ago, but my first "gaming" headset was a Turtle Beach GXxxX blah blah compatible with XBox and PS3 even though I only used it for PC. NEVER use Turtle Beach! The quality is terrible, and people on Skype/Teamspeak can hear your game playing inside the headset... essentially you're paying $100 for the brand, not quality.
After that I spent $120 on the Razer Kraken 7.1, BEST headset I've ever had and it's been perfect for 3 years. I love Razer products. Would highly recommend.

More expensive, more quality

I've always used sennheiser, but they are a little expensive. The kingston hyperx cloud ii are really good for the price.
